About the RENAVAM validator
RENAVAM is Brazil's National Registry of Motor Vehicles identifier. This validator helps detect typing errors using the format and modulo 11 check digit. Validation here is not an official lookup. Legacy 9-digit numbers receive two leading zeros; current numbers have 11 digits.
How to validate a RENAVAM
Enter or paste the number from the document, read the result and notices, then copy the normalized number if needed. The calculation applies weights 3, 2, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 to the first ten digits. Remainders 0 or 1 produce a zero check digit; otherwise, the digit is 11 minus the remainder.
