Frequently asked questions
Do men need 15 or 20 years?
The age transition requires 15 years; programmed retirement requires 20. Male coefficient increments start only above 20 in both. Women need 15 years and age 62; men need age 65.
Are qualifying months the same as contribution time?
No. They are independent requirements. This scenario requires 180 qualifying months and does not convert contribution years into qualifying months.
Can I use my last salary?
No. Supply an average already computed using updated salaries and official divisor and exclusion rules. The coefficient is 60% plus 2 points per year beyond 15 for women or 20 for men.
Could another rule allow earlier retirement?
Possibly. We do not compare all rules or predict the earliest date. Confirm your scenario with Meu INSS.
Why might the amount differ?
The floor (BRL 1,621.00) and ceiling (BRL 8,475.55) apply to 2026 from 2026-01-01 under Ordinance 13/2026. The average and final benefit have separate caps. Completed years and self-reported totals do not replace INSS record assessment.
